Legend System

Post by Beleg on Tue Apr 24, 2018 2:16 pm

You see, every adventurer wants fame and glory. In Skyshard, the greatest heroes and villains have stories and epics written about their deeds, and songs are sung of their acts of bravery and cunning. This, ultimately, culminates into what is known as one's Legend.

You see, a Legend is a unique ability that can only be used by the person whom it is about. It is their tale given form, a manifestation of all of the blood, sweat, and tears that one has given to become as great as they are. While several Legends may be told about any given person, there are only ever two that truly stand out enough to become an ability.

Each Legend is considered an X-Ranked spell, and are considered to be the most powerful and rarest form of magic in existence. However, one's Legend is capable of doing nearly anything within reason within this ultimate category, so long as it ties into your character's lore and actions.

To earn your first Legend, you must at least be Tier 1-2, and must collect 10 pieces of Crystallized Fate. This is the material used by the Gods to forge the mightiest weapons and armor, and to craft the greatest of spells. Your second Legend is obtained at Tier 0-3, and one must obtain the same amount of Crystallized Fate as before.

In order to earn a piece of Fate, you must complete a thread after having gotten to the appropriate Tier. Some events will give more than one, and site staff may decide to gift a hard-working role-player with a piece of Crystallized Fate.

Once you have earned your Legend and it is approved, you have to either purchase the spell or train for it. The cost will be twice as much as an S-Rank, but it's well worth it!
